Instituto de Córdoba's board of directors decided to fire coach Diego Vadell, after the loss in Misiones against Oberá Tenis Club. The team, led by Vadell, had a promising start but struggled with consistency, losing six of their last seven games. This led to the decision to part ways with the coach. Vadell had taken over the team in July, aiming to lead them to success after their subpar performance in the previous season. However, the team's performance did not improve, and they currently sit in 11th place in the Liga Nacional de Básquetbol (LNB) with a 8-8 record. One potential replacement for Vadell is Sebastián González, a former coach of Riachuelo de La Rioja and Quimsa de Santiago del Estero. Instituto will debut in the Básquetbol Champions League Américas (BCLA) on Wednesday, October 10.
